Wire Wrapped Earrings through Kirkwood Community College

Prerequisites: No experience needed.
Take sterling wire, Swarovski crystals, and a hammered silver ring to make a pair of earrings. Learn wire wrapping techniques to create this contemporary style of earring. Fast and fun.
Registration is through Kirkwood Community College. Register at:
www.kirkwood.edu and go to Continuing Education and then search for Beadology Iowa under the instructor search. On site registrations will be taken if registration through Kirkwood meets minimum requirements of two participants.

This bracelet will teach several principles to add to your basic round braid (Kongoh Gumi) kumihimo skills. What do you do if you want to add beads with very small holes (pearls, gems, crystals)? What is a core and how do you use it? How do you braid with more than one element on a strand? These questions will all be answered through this project. Instructor: Laurel Kubby
