Use or get herringbone stitch skills to make a lovely pair of tassel earring. You’ll stitch a beaded bead and stack large beads to stabilize your beaded bead on a headpin. Make a wrapped loop and add an ear wire and you are ready to wear!

These earrings are Swarovski “fur”. They are nothing but crystals and sterling. Our staff create lovely and slow color gradations from the larger bottom piece and slowly move towards the cube on top. Lever back ear wires make are a great finishing touch to these amazing earrings. Add 15% for custom orders which must be placed over the phone or in person.

Participants will learn to stamp and dap copper disks into earrings of their design. Some may choose to keep their copper bright or oxidize it for a different look. Beads will be added to the center and/or the bottom or bottom. This is an active, fun, and loud class.

Emerald Beetle Wing Earrings

These earrings are made using wings with the Emerald Beetle, Sternaceras Echisinata, from Thailand. Our supply comes from a rainforest sustainability program. When the beetles are done copulating, the males die and litter the forest floor. 20% are collected for export. The remainder are allowed to decompose and replenish the forest floor.
These earrings are all natural, lightweight, and make a lovely sound as they hit each other as you move.
Sterling silver ear wires. The crystal options are both Swarovski crystals.

We want you to learn to use brick stitch, Toho seed beads, and a rubber ring to make a pair of earrings that use two high contrast colors that are “flipped” on each half of the earring. This is a great introduction to wirework. Two skills are learned and practiced—making a closed wrapped loop and making this loop into another closed loop. This set of skills allows you to make secure earrings, pendants, and chains. You will make earrings from Czech pressed glass, stone, fresh water pearls, and Swarovski crystals. No previous experience is necessary.
This class serves as the pre-requisite for many Beadology Iowa classes.
