Take a laser cut metal pendant with an etched butterfly wing, and add a Swarovski butterfly bead on top. This is a quick project that gets you some wirework practice—a bail and a wrapped loop.

Reversible Beaded Bead

Learn to use a CzechMates 2-hole bead shape, the crescent. Weave Czech pressed glass and Toho 11/0 seed beads to create a two-sided domed beaded bead. You will make two separate pieces and then sew them together. Each side can be a different color, making your bead reversible. No experience needed.

Stringing beads is a fundamental jewelry making skill. This class places a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and security. You will make two bracelets using Czech Republic pressed glass beads and sterling silver spacers. One bracelet will be made strung on nylon and the second on flexible wire. Both bracelets will be beautiful and secure.

This is a great introduction to wirework. Two skills are learned and practiced—making a closed wrapped loop and making this loop into another closed loop. This set of skills allows you go make secure earrings, pendants, and chains. You will make earrings from Czech pressed glass, stone, fresh water pearls, and Swarovski crystals.
Note: This class serves as a pre-requisite for many Beadology Iowa classes.

Use your brick stitch skills to make a varied diamond shape. Learn to read a pattern and increase and decrease in brick stitch. Stitch in a soldered ring and make a dangle at the bottom. A fun project that results in either a symmetrical or asymmetrical pair of earrings.
