Design your personal mask holder using a variety of beads—colors, materials, textures. Learn to use flexible wire and crimp beads. These skills easily transfer to making glass holders, bracelets and necklaces. Kid friendly class.

Brick Stitch Woman in Skirt

Students will learn brick stitch, one of many off loom bead weaving techniques. Using Delica cylinder beads, students will form the torso of a woman, with 3-dimensional arms. Fringe creates a skirt to create a flowing earring or pendant. Choose you woman’s skin tone. One woman will be made in class.

This is a great next steps wire working class for those with basic wire wrapping and weavings skills. Participants will create a wire woven cage that will sit on top of a bead, to make a dangly pair of earrings. These cages make for a great component in other jewelry projects.

This class combines peyote-based geometric forms to create a pair of 3-dimensional earrings. You will learn to make two components as well as how to connect them.

CRAW Fan Pendant

De Medici Heirloom Pendant

Using instructions from beadwork designer Gianna Zimmerman-Lammering, make a beautiful pendant. The centerpiece is a Rivoli that is highly embellished with seed beads and Swarovski crystals. Then add an innovative herringbone technique that ends with a Swarovski dangle. Participants must download and print the instructions ($5.09) and bring them to class. Beadology Iowa will offer a supplement to enhance the instructions.

Doorknocker Earrings

This is a “next steps” lampworking glass about two embellishment techniques. Learn to wrap metal foil around a warm bead and encase it without burning off the foil. Practice using different sizes of glass frit to get color and texture. If time, play with combining these techniques.
