RBG Collar Earrings

Ruth Bader Ginsburg (March 15,1933- Sept. 18,2020) was nominated by President Clinton in 1993 to become a Justice of the United States of America’s Supreme Court. This project is in honor of RBG’s commitment to gender equity by creating a mini version of her iconic collars. Participants will form a metal armature around which the beaded collar will be created using brick stitch, netting, and picots. Then add a scales of justice charm to complete the project.

Using peyote stitch, make an embellished ring. Learn an innovative technique to dangle a freshwater pearl in the center of the ring. Add some matching pearls on top and an ear wire and you are ready to wear your new earrings.

Participants will learn to stamp and dap copper disks into earrings of their design. Some may choose to keep their copper bright or oxidize it for a different look. CRAW Bubble Earring
