Don’t be a cog, make a cog! Create a tight circle with cubed right angle weave, CRAW. Then use a new embellishment technique in the center. Stitch in the ditch around the edges. Build a structure from which to hold your ear wire on your new beaded earrings.

Stringing beads is a fundamental jewelry making skill. This class places a focus on aesthetics, functionality, and security. You will make two bracelets using Czech Republic pressed glass beads and sterling silver spacers. One bracelet will be made strung on nylon and the second on flexible wire. This is a great introduction to wirework. Two skills are learned and practiced—making a closed wrapped loop and making this loop into another closed loop. Use memory wire to make a 2-stranded cuff bracelet. Use a 2-hole bead or spacer bar to connect your two strands. Learn to use memory wire tools to make loops on the ends of your cuff. This is a great way for people who normally don’t wear bangles to get a bracelet style without a clasp that fits properly.

This project uses a whip stitch around a teardrop armature. You then switch to brick stitch and begin creating the base for your ruffles. Begin adding multiple stitches in each space of the previous row to create full ruffles on the bottom of your earring.
