Use 4mm druks (Czech round glass beads) and Toho 11/0s in a kongoh gumi (round) variation. You will learn to move non-paired beads, creating a rope that does not appear to spiral in the traditional way. This braid can be made on both a disc and marudai.
You can bring your own foam disk and weighted bobbins, or purchase them as part of the class fee for an additional $20. Please call to register if you need the tool kit.
During the COVID-19 recovery period, classes are limited to 6 people on a first come first served basis via paying the registration fee. Masks must be worn during class and participants will be spaced at least 6 feet from each other. Tools will not be shared and will be cleaned before and after use. Please call for more details about our safety protocols.
