Everyone needs a variety of masks and shields to protect themselves and each other and remain fashionable. Make a blingy and colorful shield by beadazzling colorful and sparkly jewels onto the top. Shields are made locally at the Iowa City Fab Lab.

Description:
Use your cubed right angle weave skills to make a curved and embellished pendant. Make a match to use as earrings. This workshop uses three sizes of Toho seed beads and Fireline or Nymo.
Use both your flat and tubular peyote skills and Delica and Toho beads to create a decorated ring and barbell style toggle bar. This allows you to create your own clasp for a beaded creation. Learn tips and tricks to make this process easier.
Prerequisite: basic peyote skills—see Peyote Stitch Techniques on Jan. 11.

Bead Camp is for kids 8 years old and up. This morning session includes two projects. The first project is making a bracelet using Czech pressed glass on flexible wire. No needle, easy to finish, and strong. The second project uses soda, tea, and other aluminum beverage containers to make flowers.
For those wanting more than one session of Bead Camp, the cost goes down to $49/session. This discount cannot be offered on line. Please call to get this discount. Each session of Bead Camp needs a minimum of 4 participants.
