This class will perfect your wire wrapping skills. Make wrapped loops of Swarovski crystals, pearls, and precious metal beads. Then stack them to make a wild and sparkly cluster. A long ear wire will show off your work.

These earrings are Swarovski “fur”. They are nothing but crystals and sterling. Our staff create lovely and slow color gradations from the larger bottom piece and slowly move towards the cube on top. Lever back ear wires make are a great finishing touch to these amazing earrings. Add 15% for custom orders which must be placed over the phone or in person.

Prerequisites: Tubular Peyote Stitch--see Peyote Techniques on September 2.
Learn to use peyote stitch to bezel a rivoli, a round Swarovski crystal with a point on the back. Once your beaded bezel is complete, you can embellish it, add a peyote bail, and you have a sparkly pendant that can be added to chain, leather, or a beaded lariat.
Take both Peyote Stitch Techniques and/or Bezel a Rivoli Crystal and/or Beaded Toggle and get double rewards points on all classes.

Use Cubed Right Angle Weave (CRAW) and Toho seed beads to create a curved armature as the base of the pendant. Then embellish with layers of Swarovski crystals. This project can easily be made bigger for a larger pendant and done twice to create a pair of earrings.

Emerald Beetle Wing Earrings

These earrings are made using wings with the Emerald Beetle, Sternaceras Echisinata, from Thailand. Our supply comes from a rainforest sustainability program. When the beetles are done copulating, the males die and litter the forest floor. 20% are collected for export. The remainder are allowed to decompose and replenish the forest floor.
These earrings are all natural, lightweight, and make a lovely sound as they hit each other as you move.

Dutch spiral is a variation of tubular peyote stitch. Add drops and multiple beads per stitch to add color and texture to create an undulating tube of beads for use as a bracelet or lariat. Embellish with lucite flowers, Czech pressed glass flowers, and/or Swarovski crystals.
Registration is $68 and includes all materials and instruction.

Gyrls Night Out: Bezel a Rivoli with 2-hole Beads

Learn to use 2-hole Superduos and Toho seed beads with netting stitch to bezel around a Swarovski rivoli. This is a fun and fast technique to capture a focal bead to create a pendant or earrings.
Snake Weave Bracelet

Make 3 Pairs of Earrings: Intro to Wirework through Kirkwood Community College

This is a great introduction to wirework. Two skills are learned and practiced—making a closed wrapped loop and making this loop into another closed loop. This set of skills allows you to make secure earrings, pendants, and chains. You will make earrings from Czech pressed glass, stone, fresh water pearls, and Swarovski crystals. No previous experience is necessary.
This class serves as the pre-requisite for many Beadology Iowa classes.
Registration is through Kirkwood Community College. Register at:
kirkwood.edu On site registrations will be taken if registration through Kirkwood meets minimum requirements of two participants.
$35 instructor fee to Kirkwood and $35 materials fee at Beadology Iowa.

This class will hone your wrapped loop skills. Use a spectrum of colors to connect Swarovski crystals to chain to create a set of cascading earrings. Emphasis will be placed on good wire work skills. One earring will be made in class. Kit materials will allow you to make the second on your own. These earrings retail for over $150.
Friday Night Out: Herringbone & Swarovski Earrings
