Many want to flip the House of Representatives to Democratic Control. We want you to learn to use brick stitch, Toho seed beads, and a rubber ring to make a pair of earrings that use two high contrast colors that are “flipped” on each half of the earring. Brick stitch is an off-loom seed bead weaving stitch that can be made into endless patterns. In this class, use Delica beads in brick stitch to create an owl motif. Then glue it onto a bookmark. A perfect combination for beading in the City of Literature. These owls make awesome earrings, too.

Brick stitch is a fun stitch for making shapes and patterns. Make a triangle, then learn tips and tricks for adding fringe that flows well yet is not too loose. No experience necessary.

Use your brick stitch skills to make a varied diamond shape. Learn to read a pattern and increase and decrease in brick stitch. Stitch in a soldered ring and make a dangle at the bottom. A fun project that results in either a symmetrical or asymmetrical pair of earrings.
