Make a flat peyote band and then zip it up into a tube. Learn to make branched fringe using seed beads, magatams, and Czech pressed glass beads to form a graduated and fluid design. You can then decide if you bead a lariat or put the slide onto a scarf, leather, chain, or anything that will fit into your tube.

Combine seed bead weaving and simple wire working skills to make these lovely earrings. Make a hi-lo cone with peyote stitch for the flower petals. Embellish the inside with a cascade of dangles using wire work and a bit of metal pounding.

Make a long CRAW chain and connect it to make this lovely pendant. This is a great project for getting into a good rhythm with cubed right angle weave and for getting comfortable with making connections with this stitch and embellishments. This pattern works for earrings, too.

Using varied sizes of Toho seed beads, make a horseshoe shape. Insert dangles in the negative space and another on the bottom, and you have created an unusual lightweight earring with high impact.

Use a jeweler’s saw and bench pin to cut out a design from a copper disk. Utilize your cut out or parts of it, as a dangle for your earring. Add an ear wire and you are ready to wear.

Use Delica beads to make 6 diamonds sewn together. 3 for the top and 3 for the bottom. Insert a bell and sew your halves together. This is a great project to hone your patterned brick stitch skills.

Alyssa will help you follow this lovely pattern by Deborah Hodoyer that appeared in the August/September Beadwork magazine. Capture a Rivoli securely with Toho seed beads using peyote stitch. Then use Super Duos, peanut beads, fire polish beads, and seed beads to embellish the crystal to make this dimensional pendant. Students must either have the magazine or purchase the pattern for $4.

Use wool and a needle to felt a pendant and a bezel to capture a stone or glass piece into a pendant. This is an easy, yet unusual technique and the result is stunning.

Prerequisites: Any kumihimo experience.
This necklace is an introduction to 12-strand braiding. It is made of 5 different patterns, 2 of them involve the same braid made both clockwise and counterclockwise. One is a rectangular braid. The class will include how to transition from one braid to the next.
Tools needed to bring or purchase include a kumihimo disk or marudai and 12 70 gram weighted tamas or thread lockers. If you already have these tools, please choose the corresponding drop down choice.
