The cactus is shaped with a thicker wire Use your body and common household items to shape your cactus. Then embellish it with seed beads and smaller wire. Add a few flowers and you have your flowering cactus.

Use your peyote stitch in an unusual way. Create a two-color double sided diagonal peyote strip that changes directions. Then fold it on itself to reveal each color on each side. Then zip it together. A great “next steps” peyote class.

This is an intermediate lampworking class. Participants will be encasing with clear, creating a pattern with layers of dots, and raking this pattern into a plume. Varied shapes of beads will be explored using this same pattern.

Don’t throw your glass scraps or end of rods/stringers away! Use them on top of clear glass to create a variety of pendant styles. Bring your own clean scraps (white vinegar rinse) and many will be provided. Practice bail making, too. This is a fun intermediate lampworking class.

Learn to wrap and secure a focal bead to create the body of an earring. Create loops for smaller dangles to hand from the bottom. This technique can be made smaller for a smaller set of earrings, or larger and/or longer for a dramatic pair.

Use SuperDuos, round Toho seed beads, and Swarovski pearl beads to stitch a classic daisy chain bracelet. This bracelet looks more complicated than it is, as you alternate the colors to make it look like it has a lot of movement.

This project teaches you flat peyote stitch that you “zip” up to form a tube. Add branched fringe that is fun to make and even more fun to wear. This class serves as a prerequisite for many Beadology Iowa classes.
Dragonfly Pendant

Get creative with right angle weave (RAW) to make the upper body of a dragonfly using Swarovski crystals, Toho seed beads, and pressed glass. The upper body is a beaded bead. String this bead on a headpin with other beads to make the segmented lower body of the dragonfly.
