This is the second of three Pride Month classes. You will learn to use seed beads to create ladder stitch and chevron stitch to make a quick and simple bracelet that has high impact. You will use one color of larger beads for the base and then embellish it with slightly smaller beads in rainbow colors. The “V” shape is stunning.

Learn to use a CzechMates 2-hole crescent bead. Weave Czech pressed glass and Toho 11/0 seed beads to create a two-sided domed beaded bead. You will make two separate pieces and then sew them together. Each side can be a different color, making your bead reversible. No experience needed.

In this third class of our Pride Month celebration, create a beaded portrait of Marsha P. Johnson, an American gay liberation activist and self-identified drag queen. Known as an outspoken advocate for gay rights, Johnson was one of the prominent figures in the Stonewall uprising of 1969. Learn to follow a 2-drop peyote pattern and see this activist come to life. Look for more portrait classes in 2023.
