The wirework for this piece was done by Zanetta Hoehle of Tumbled Wire Designs. She is a Beadology Iowa guest instructor for wirework classes. It was created for us as a gift to help our business survive the COVID-19 pandemic. As a way of paying this kindness forward, 20% of the proceeds ($50) will go to the CommUnity Food Bank.
This piece is made from a yellow quartz cabochon and bronze wire. At its longest, this necklace is 21″ and can be adjusted to be shorter. It has a bronze and swivel lobster clasp.

This pendant is made from a non-protected bird species from Florida that has been electroplated with copper. It is flat on the back, so it lays flat. The eyes are Botswana agate. The bail has a 4x7mm inside diameter and the piece measures 25x65mm, including the bail.

Use many peyote skills to make this intricate toggle clasp. Tubular peyote makes up the circle, and flat peyote that is zipped up it the core of the bar of the toggle. An innovative bell at each end of the bar will make you want to design a necklace where you put the clasp in the front.

This owl is made using brick stitch, which is an off-loom seed bead weaving stitch that can be made into endless patterns. You will use Delica beads in brick stitch to create an owl motif. Then glue it onto a bookmark. A perfect combination for beading in the City of Literature. These owls make awesome earrings, too.
