Crocheting with beads is an arduous process. All the beads must be strung on your crochet material on the front end, in the correct order. In this diamond pattern, one bead out of place will show up. The ombre teals to light blues, to blue grey and back again is quite elegant. The magnetic clasp is gold plated. This item is made to order with a 4-week delivery time. Drukin’ Kumihimo Bracelet

Prerequisites: Basic Kumihimo
Use 4mm druks (Czech round glass beads) and Toho 11/0s in a kongoh gumi (round) variation. You will learn to move non-paired beads, creating a rope that does not appear to spiral in the traditional way. This braid can be made on both a disc and marudai.
You can bring your own foam disk and weighted bobbins, or purchase them as part of the class fee for an additional $20. Please call to register if you need the tool kit.

Bead crochet not your thing? Learn to use peyote stitch to mimic single stitch bead crochet. This technique was introduced in 2017 by Gerlinde Lenz. Participants will learn to follow a pattern that will repeat, so you get the hang of it. Be prepared to want more after learning this clever, addictive variation of peyote stitch. The end product is a slide to add to a lariat of your choice.

This round braid has a huge advantage over kongo-gumi, the first braid that most people learn. It does not spiral. This allows you to have beads hang along one edge (or 2) without distortion. This is perfect for necklaces & bracelets. In this class, you will make a necklace with Swarovski pearls along one edge.
This technique is suitable for beginners (with some experience) on the marudai & adventuresome, experienced beginners on the disc.

This necklace is an introduction to 12-strand braiding. It is made of 5 different patterns, 2 of them involve the same braid made both clockwise and counterclockwise. One is a rectangular braid. The class will include how to transition from one braid to the next.
Tools needed to bring or purchase include a kumihimo disk or marudai and 12 70 gram weighted tamas or thread lockers. If you already have these tools, please choose the corresponding drop down choice.
