New 2-Part Class: Metal Clay Pendant—Before and After Firing

Description:
In part one, manipulate BronzClay into a pendant using a variety of techniques: rolling, pushing, carving, and using slip to create texture. Pieces will be fired and tumbled. In part two, use multiple metal working techniques such as filing, drilling, and soldering, to finish your pendant.

Use Toho seed beads in brick stitch with a rubber ring to make a fun pair of light earrings. In this project, the high contrast thread and the ring are part of the design.
Registration is through Kirkwood Community College. Register at: www.kirkwood.edu and go to Continuing Education and then search for Beadology Iowa under the instructor search. On site registrations will be taken if registration through Kirkwood meets minimum requirements of two participants. Instructor: Karen Kubby.
