Textured Two-drop Peyote Bracelet

Two-drop peyote stitch is an off-loom weaving technique that moves very fast, as you place two beads at a time. This bracelet is embellished as it is woven. The embellishment creates texture and pops up a bit as it hugs the curve of your wrist. Add a special bead for a clasp.

Glass beads are woven between pieces of Greek leather in a double wrapped bracelet. They are sturdy and longer lasting than designer pieces. We would know: we frequently repair those! The clasp is a matching button that may vary from the picture, as each piece is unique.

2-Strand Memory Wire Bracelet

Use memory wire to make a 2-stranded cuff bracelet. Use a 2-hole bead or spacer bar to connect your two strands. Learn to use memory wire tools to make loops on the ends of your cuff. This is a great way for people who normally don’t wear bangles to get a bracelet style without a clasp that fits properly.

Learn the basics of byzantine chain maille to make a bracelet. Chain maille is a technique of taking individual open jump rings and putting them together to form a mesh or chain. Proper tool handling and opening and closing of rings will be emphasized.
Registration is through Kirkwood Community College. Register at:
www.kirkwood.edu and go to Continuing Education and then search for Beadology Iowa under the instructor search. On site registrations will be taken if registration through Kirkwood meets minimum requirements of two participants.
$30 instructor fee/$38 materials fee.
