Help us celebrate our 12th annual bead challenge. This is a wonderful way to highlight our talented customers… like you!
The bead challenge starts on Friday, Sept. 8, at 10am and ends on Friday, Oct. 13 at 6pm. Make anything you want from the kit-jewelry, sculpture, collage work, quilts, embroidery, a knitting project–anything. You must use at least one of each of the elements in the kit to qualify for the challenge. You may add as many or as much of other materials as you desire. Those turning in qualifying finished work will be included in a one-week exhibit starting October 20 with their name and name of their work prominently displayed as well as being featured on the Bead Challenge page on our web site. Qualifying artists will have their name in the hopper that will be pulled randomly to win gift certificates and other goodies. Below is a listing of items included in the kit:
10 grams of round Toho 6/0 seed beads, #pf2101
1 dyed magnesite chunk
5 keishi pearls
1 copper toggle clasp
2” of 3/8” boro glass rod
1 foot of knotting cord
Must be Turned in by Friday, Oct. 13 at 6pm.
Opening Reception There will be an opening reception on Friday, October 20, 5-7pm.
Bead Challenge Exhibit Friday October 20 thru Thursday October 26.
Pick up Bead Challenge pieces on Saturday, October 28.
