Alyssa is preparing for gender affirming surgery and needs the help of their community. Join them and Beadology Iowa for a fundraiser party including snacks, raffles, and games to raise money for medical bills and post-surgical needs.
“You’re invited to say goodbye and good riddance to Alyssa’s breasts, a celebration of a dream over 20 years in the making. This is part announcement, part fundraiser, and all party. Alyssa is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. They are getting top surgery (double mastectomy) to feel more at home in their body.
Do you wish to help? There is a lot that goes into prepping for the big surgery.
Alyssa needs time to heal, so that means no work for up to 6 weeks. As an hourly employee that is going to hurt. Anything that is not used financially or is secondhand in good condition will be donated to the Iowa Trans Mutual Aid Fund and others to have the chance Alyssa is having.
There is no obligation to give! Alyssa just wants you there to share in the happiness they’re feeling at finally getting what they’ve wished for since they were a teenager. Dreams really can come true.”
