This is an intermediate lampworking class for those who have some experience and are looking for assistance taking their glass work to the next level. Learn to encase beads with transparent colors using three different methods—with a large gather, by overlapping layers from one side to the other, and a hybrid strategy.

This class is for the advanced beginner/intermediate lampworker. Expand your skills by learning embellishment techniques to add wing patterns, ears, eyes, and beak to a core barrel bead to make your personalized owl.
Use a two-needle beading technique and 2-hole Super Duo beads to create a beaded leaf. Pull tight for more dimension to your leaf. Add an ear wire and you are ready to go. This is a challenging, yet delightful and very doable project. You will love the results. No experience needed.
Registration is through Kirkwood Community College. Register at:
www.kirkwood.edu and go to Continuing Education and then search for Beadology Iowa under the instructor search. On site registrations will be taken if registration through Kirkwood meets minimum requirements of two participants.
This star pattern component can be used as earrings or a pendant, beaded together for a bracelet, and hung from a window or tree as an ornament. Use a combination of 2-hole beads, Czech pressed glass, and Toho round and Demi seed beads for this fast and fun project. This pattern is by TrendSetter Olga Haserodt.
