Peas in a Pod–great gift idea

Use copper wire to learn to close two ends of a flat weave into a cylinder to form an open pod. Add crystals to the center of the pod, to finish one end with a loop and add an additional crystal, and to finish the other end with a bail so you can hang it from your favorite chain. This project lends itself to using birthstone colors and celebrating family.
During the COVID-19 recovery period, classes are limited to 6 people on a first come first served basis via paying the registration fee. Face coverings must be worn during class and participants will be spaced at least 6 feet from each other. Tools will not be shared and will be cleaned before and after use. Participants will learn to weave three stands of copper wire together, bending them into shape and anchoring the ends. A simple bail will also be created bending wire. Variations to this pendant and ways to approach different shapes will be discussed. Just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Learn to weave a pattern that leaves exposed base wires to create a wave pattern. Once the basic pattern is learned, a repeating pattern will be used to create a bracelet.
