Discover an easy to learn seed bead netting stitch from the Roaring Twenties.  No book or magazine uses this stitch in a project—it is an exclusive Beadology Iowa stitch.  You will create a graceful bracelet in no time at all.  No previous experience necessary.

Make 2 Bracelets: Introduction to Stringing

Description:

Bracelets are big this season.  Wearing multiple bracelets at once is even better.  This class places a focus on professional stringing and design techniques.  You will make two bracelets using two different stringing materials. One bracelet will be made strung on nylon using glass beads from the Czech Republic and sterling silver beads.  The second bracelet will be strung on flexible wire and made with handmade glass and Swarovski crystals.  You will learn how to use crimp beads to finish this bracelet.  Both bracelets will be secure and beautiful.  No previous experience is necessary.  Instructor: Cheryl Weatherford

Make 3 Pairs of Earrings: Introduction to Wirework

Description:

Who doesn’t need a new pair of earrings?  Learn to make earrings for yourself or as gifts.  Two wirework skills will be practiced and used to make three pairs of earrings.  The first skill is making a closed wrapped loop that allows you to make earrings and pendants.  The second skill is making a closed wrapped loop inside of a closed loop, allowing you to attach dangles to chains.  You will make earrings from glass, stone, pearls, and Swarovski crystals.

Solid instruction on the use of jewelry tools will assist you in making three pairs of earrings.  You will receive encouragement in discovering simple yet elegant earring designs.

Learn the newest seed bead weaving stitch to hit the bead world. This stitch was developed by Melanie de Miguel, a designer and artist from London. It looks a bit like netting, yet is not.  And, its not quite right angle weave, and not quite herringbone.  It's a brand new stitch.   Learn tips and tricks for holding your work to be the most successful.  Leave with new skills and a new bracelet.

Here is our version of the $200 plus designer wrapped stone and linen bracelet.  Use it as a longer necklace, a double stranded necklace, or as a 3-5 strand wrapped bracelet.  This is an incredibly versatile piece of jewelry.  Learn to use a crochet hook to make a slip stitch with graduated sizes of beads to make this highly functional piece.  Option of a dutch treat cocktail after class as a group.

Use your soldering skills to make a bezel around a stone cabochon.  Participants will make a simple pendant as a vehicle for learning metal bezeling skills.

Bezel a Rivoli Crystal

Prerequisites: Tubular peyote stitch skills?see Napkin Ring on January 23.
Description:
Learn to use peyote stitch to bezel a rivoli, a round Swarovski crystal with a point on the back. Once your beaded bezel is complete, you can embellish it, add a peyote bail, and you have a sparkly pendant that can be added to chain, leather, or a beaded lariat. 

Take both Napkin Ring and Beaded Bezel and be awarded double points.
