Description:

Cubed Right Angle Weave (CRAW) is a fun and fascinating stitch.  It is hard to learn from video or written instructions.  In this class you will learn CRAW with larger beads to create a pendant.  Move on to embellishing the piece by “stitchin’ in the ditch”.

Wire Wrapping Stones through Kirkwood Community College Continuing Education Program

Learn the basics of wrapping stones with wire. Students will practice with copper wire to form a plan for a particular stone, then move to sterling wire for the final project.

The design considerations for how this is different than the strategy for a necklace will be discussed.  Create your piece with seed beads and Czech pressed glass pieces. Peyote Stitch Beaded Beads through Kirkwood Community College Continuing Education Program

Description:

Weaving with beads isn’t has complicated as it looks.  Peyote stitch is a versatile and often used seed bead weaving technique.  Students will make beads by beading a rectangle then folding it up and zipping it closed to make a tight and seamless tube.  Fancy your bead up by adding layers of embellishment.  Samples of finished jewelry using peyote stitch will be available with discussion on the techniques used to construct them.

On site registrations will be taken but not counted towards the minimum class size in order for the class to take place.

$30 instructor fee/$28 materials fee.

Description:
Use flat peyote stitch to make this lovely bracelet. In this class you will learn how to do beaded color grading in a simple, yet efficient manner. Then you will learn to finish the edges of this bracelet with a picot technique. Finally, learn to add a clasp with a loop closure. That's three skills in one project!!
